Attorney: Gene Riddle
An agricultural services worker injured his back carrying heavy objects while on the job. Our client’s injury required back surgery and fusion, a spinal cord stimulator implant and ongoing pain management. Defendants denied our client any benefits, we argued the case in front of the Industrial Commission and our client received a favorable decision.
Defendants did not appeal the decision and were ordered to pay back pay as well as ongoing benefits. After nine years of payments the case settled at a mediated settlement conference for $725,000 which included a Medicare Set Aside annuity valued at $525,000.
